Welcome to Lund, the best university-town in Sweden. Now you might believe that we are parcial, but Lund actually won the title "Sveriges bästa Studentstad", roughly meaning "Sweden's best University-town". Lund's slogan is "den lilla storstaden" - "the little big city”, and as a student, it couldn't have been more on true. With 90 thousand residents, Lund may not be able to compete with Stockholm or Gothenburg in size, but as one of 46 thousand students, you always have something fun to do. Whether you like going out, partying, sports or completely different things, Lund has something for you, and with everything within cycling distance, you can live the student life to the fullest. The nations in Lund is central to the student life. There are 12 different nations There are 12 different nations where each has its own character. Most of them organize bars, clubs, dinners, spex and other goodies. To be able to go to nation, you must be a member of Studentlund.

As a new student in Lund, the housing situation can feel hopeless. But fear not, there are several ways you can get housing. Below we have listed some useful links.
AF Bostäder
AF manages roughly 6,000 housing units and is southern Sweden's largest student housing company. Here you will find both corridor rooms and apartments. As soon as you receive your admission notice, you can join the housing queue. As a newcomer to Lund, you have "novice priority", which means that you have priority on certain housing reserved for so-called "novices" in Lund. You will find more information about AF
Facebook Groups
Look around a bit on Facebook, there are several groups for people who want to rent out or rent housing in Lund. For example "Apartments in Lund".
Nations
Many students in Lund live in nations. You often get priority in the housing queue if you join the nation. So contact them and apply to become a member!

Lund city offers rental properties through its housing company LKF. Here you can, and should, get in line right now! Queuing times are long but the fee is low, and LKF has some of the most attractive areas in Lund.

Get a bike
In Lund, it is bicycle that counts. If you can't bring a bike here, it's great to buy one here, both new and used!
Register and change your address
When you get a home, it is important to register your move and change your address. It makes life enormously easier. Don't forget to get home insurance either!
Accept your admission offer
